Jim McPartlan, is a seasoned and skilled Commercial Real Estate Investment Advisor, whose Team specializes in leasing, development and investment sales.

He began his career working in Chicago managing turnaround re-development projects for institutional owners, (mainly banks, insurance companies, and large pension funds). These owners had taken back those commercial properties that were floundering and facing foreclosure and were then classified as distressed assets.

  Those were downtown and suburban office buildings, urban and suburban shopping centers, suburban multi-family and urban and suburban industrial properties. Jim was tasked with developing an individual management strategy​ for each project and then implementing an effective re-development program for each of these physical ​assets. The goal was to enhance valuations by a planned management process of renovation, upgrading, and re-leasing vacant space. Thereby, increasing the rent rolls and capitalized asset values for eventual sale. These efforts allowed for the institutional recapture of their outstanding owed principal plus return of and on their added invested capital improvement costs.

Jim then went on to establish his own independent commercial investment firm specializing in acquisition, management and brokerage of value-add CRE properties. This led to a 20+ year career as an active builder, visionary developer and investment manager; successfully completing many re-development, tenant improvement, design/ build and ground-up “greenfield” development projects. His “hands-on” approach to investment analysis, deal structure, development planning and execution, as well as his exit strategy management (many 1031 exchanges,  both personally and professionally) is most evident in his overall attitude toward any CRE investment.
